Let me start with; I read the reviews and I was extremely hesitant to buy this chest of drawers. Also, yes this comes in many... many pieces. BUT I love putting things together so the pieces didn’t daunt me. There were many reviews that had damaged wood I did not have to deal with that maybe my USP guy is amazing because the 2 boxes it comes in are HEAVY, one downfall is the bag the screws and nails were cheap and they were leaking all over when I got to them. I was worried it would scratch the finish but I was lucky. The instructions were not too complex, maybe add a few more details here and there but I figured it out easily. It did take about 5 hours to build but also I lost my screw gun till the last two drawers and there are MANY screws that you use, so make sure you have the suggested tools. I separated and set up my work space (I don’t have kids so that’s easy for me to maintain). 5 little hours and a few great movies later and I have a great piece of furniture. It is made of particleboard but when built is really sturdy and looks nice. I was impressed with the reinforcement the drawers have, when I was building them I was worried about the bottoms falling out till I got to the part it is reinforced with and it’s very nice looking in my bedroom! I do plan to buy the sister peace with the shelves on the side. The main reason for the 4 stars is I wish the handles were not plastic and the smallest parts need to be packed better but for the price....I’m extremely happy!
