a little different, but good concept, great company
5/7/21 - I've edited my overall rating, but left my original review, because it more or less still stands. I edited my rating because I will say this company has excellent customer service that really goes above and beyond any I've ever ordered from before. I was reached out to by their CEO no less, who refunded my purchase, and notified me they take reviews like mine seriously and have been changing some of their formulas. Wow. It really says a lot to me when a company takes customer feedback that seriously. Their work is important to them and they care about the product they're making. As I say in the end of my original review - I REALLY like their products. I think it's awesome to find a hydration mix without artificial sweeteners. The immunity blend...at least until I try a different version than the one I ordered...contains a "natural" sweetener (monk fruit extract), that tastes a little like an artificial one. The majority of the Hydrant mixes don't contain it, so it's not a problem and I think they're great. For the average consumer than enjoys Liquid IV and doesn't mind a little stevia taste, this blend will certainly be enjoyed. For those that don't enjoy that particular taste, I'd recommend sticking to the Hydrant mixes that don't contain it. ************************* As someone with an “exquisite palate”... ok not really, just one that can taste the tiniest bit of stevia or artificial sweetener in ANYTHING & be instantly put off to it... I have LOVED the Hydrant mixes because it is impossible to find hydration mixes that don’t contain stevia, sucralose, aspartame... etc etc. I like a hot drink every now & then & with the state of global panny, I really liked the idea of an “immunity blend”. As another reviewer noted these immunity blends contain monk fruit extract, which I am sure makes them still qualify as “no ARTIFICIAL sweetener” but it tastes just like stevia. gag. this drink smells amazing & I’d suspect without the monk fruit extract I’d probably really like it, but as is, I doubt I’ll finish even half the package. I wish Hydrant would consider moving away from using this in these blends because I think they’d be great without it. I will continue to buy their other mixes (blood orange, orange, raspberry lemonade) because they work & really do taste great (not too sweet, light & fruity), but I’ll probably continue to check the ingredients each time before I order.
