DO NOT throw packing material away!! There are some unique ways of caring for this plant and you need to read all the instructions first. The packing material is actually moss that needs to be used to plant the Flytrap with. This is by far the healthiest plant I have ever ordered. It came packaged with care and looked great/no shipping damage. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand; VERY thorough too! I have not owned it that long but I followed the instructions and it seems to be thriving. I have some new "baby" shoots. Extremely satisfied with purchase and would buy plant again if so desired and definitely would buy from Vendor again.!
