I bought this when my old brush broke and I wanted something as similar as possible. This was the closest I could get. It's basic and that's all I needed. It blows hot air out of holes in the brush head. Compared with my old one, though, this one does not dry as fast. I believe it is slightly less powerful and there are less holes (so less air coverage). I tend to give my hair a quick blow dry with normal blow dryer first, and then come in and finish with this brush. All I am doing is curling the end of my hair under, nothing fancy. It does the job for what I want. For the record, I have thin, fine hair.
