We started to experience mice coming into our house and in one particular drawer of our kitchen. My husband said no problem, I'll just get some mice traps and they'll be gone if a few days. Well after a week and a dead mouse in our kitchen drawer every day, I was over trying to get rid of the mice with traps. I debated over purchasing a package of 4-6 for the same price of one but I wasn't too keen on having to have that many scattered throughout our house. Shipping was quick and all I had to do was plug the unit in. I did read the directions, which I would recommend. It stated to only use the highest frequency when not home and I have to say I tried it because if it didn't bother me I figured the mice would be gone sooner; however, I wouldn't recommend that except when no one is home. The low setting didn't bother me at all but I did watch my dog for signs of problems. I'm happy to say neither of us had an issue with the unit plugged. I figured since I live a ranch and our kitchen is pretty vaulted maybe only one unit would work but figured I'd probably end up having to buy one or two more units to tackle our mice issue. I also expected not knowing if it really worked would take a week or even weeks before I knew if it really worked and I'm happy to report that after 24 hours our mice problem was gone. The unit is plugged into a kitchen wall outlet but the design is sleek. I will admit I unplugged it from a counter plug for a family gathering as I wanted to be able to use both plugs and forgot to plug it back in until I found evidence of mice again in my kitchen drawer. I've since plugged it back in and we've not had one evidence of mice any where in our house. I do write reviews and I am really honest. If there was something I didn't like or it didn't work, I'd say so. I can't fault the brand because it takes away the use of one of my kitchen plugs. Other brands have smaller units but they were also sold in packages or 4, 6 or 8. Not wanting a ton of units plugged in throughout my house, I went with this one and it is slightly larger than I pictured it to be. It works though and that was the reason for my purchase and it met my needs - no more mice. I do wait before writing a review too as I want to really know how it holds ups and its been a few months since of use and still no more mice.
