Very addicting and delicious.
Amazingly delicious with very few ingredients imported from United Kingdom. I don't even like jelly or jam but tried Black Currant while on vacation in Ireland. Now, I'm hooked. Black currants were made illegal to grow in the United States due to carrying a blight that affected pine trees. Pine trees are logged for the building of most homes in America. In 1911, American Loggers were successful in passing laws nationwide to make the growing of black currants illegal. Since that time, blight resistant varieties have been created, but the appreciation for black currants has not returned. This preserve is incredibly wholesome (absent of preservatives and unnecessary ingredients) and quite delicious. Tiptree makes their products in small batches of 150 jars, which allows a tighter control of quality and taste.
