I own this Baltra brand in black and Vionic in brown. The only significant difference is the foot base is slightly softer in these Baltra sandals. They may not last as long due to that reason. Comfort level is the same in the foot bed and the strap. The look of the Vionic strap is a little nicer, but just as comfortable. Foot support type/angle is the same. Both brands have the same sizing. I wear a 8 1/2 shoe usually, and I ordered an 8 in both brands. They fit the same. My best friend and I both have Plantar Fasciitis, and feel both these brands are a good support for this problem. We both have worn them all day for weeks this summer with reduced foot pain. In comparison, they are very close. Vionics has a large selection of colors, and will probably last just a bit longer with it's firmer foot base. I will update my review later to see how they hold up over time. UPDATE: AFTER A FEW MONTHS OF SUMMER WEAR I noticed the BALTRA black color wears off on my feet. Especially in the heel. This has not happened with the Vionics. I hope this is helpful.
