Works
I have a pole with a hook to hold bird feeders and it is the type that sticks in the ground. Squirrels and chip monks constanly get up and eat the seeds in the bird feeder. The baffle comes with a bracket, like a collar that is attched on the pole, and it is fixed in place by tightening the screw. The split in the baffle makes it convenient to put on. It then can be closed by hooking the ends together [they come with fold shape like a "U"]. Best to keep up the baffle as high off the ground as possible because the squirrels can jump up at leat 3 feet I think. I use this in combination with the supposedly squirrel proof feeders and works effectively, especially with the red squirrel. They are small and very smart. Also, make sure to keep the feeders away from other pole feeders and trees. Those squirrels are very determined and can jump fairly far. For the money, this is one of the most effective anti-squirrel guard. Highly recommended.
