Our dog is allergic to the environment and food. I have tried several shampoos including those recommended by vets and those shampoos have made our dog itch more after a bath. I have only used this shampoo once so far BUT it appears to be a best one I have found. I dilute the shampoo with water before pouring it onto his body and then rinse thoroughly. It left his hair (Dugan is a Wheaten Terrier) softer and he did not scratch afterward. I chose this shampoo because it appears to be 'very natural.' I wanted to avoid perfumes. It looks like it is a winner.
