Paid for Christmas!
When you apply for this card, they will most likely give you a low credit limit even if you have excellent credit. That is just what they do, but I definitely suggest sticking with the card anyway and every six months ask for a credit limit increase. Citi now offers a credit limit increase without a hard pull on your credit. I just recently did it and they approved $1500 increase without making a dent in my score. There are so many good things about this card that it is difficult to decide where to begin. First off, I want to say that I was very skeptical about applying for this card at first, but after tons of research, I decided that this card was going to bring me the most benefits. I pay off my balance every month and in doing so I made enough money with 2% cash back to pay for Christmas presents for all my family members! I'm looking at the rewards page now so I'll just list off the different ways to redeem your cash back. It does have to be at least $25 but it only takes two statements to get. You can redeem by gift card, statement credit, direct deposit, and check. Statement credit could take up to two billing cycles so definitely not worth it. I would definitely recommend doing direct deposit because it only takes like 1-2 business days tops! You can also earn extra money buy utilizing the price rewind feature which checks to make sure you got the best deal on your purchase for sixty days. Also, this card comes with all the extra goodies of a Citi card including perks like worldwide travel and car insurance and trip cancellation protection. You get your real Equifax fico score! Its really handy to make sure your on track. You can also feel secure by knowing you have 90 day return protection and theft protection on all your purchases. Not only that but you can also extend the warranty on your purchases as well . I'm also really happy that Citi updated their account page. It has a nice modern look to it now making it more easily accessible and approachable. I definitely recommend getting this card and making it your go to card for purchases. I'm currently trying to get my limit up so that I can keep my credit utilization under 30% while still placing all of my bills and purchases on this card so that I can make a return on everything I spend. No more putting money away in an envelop each year saving for holiday gifts. Now I just check how much I've made every time I go to pay my bill and cash it in when its time for Christmas.
