TL;DR - Buy this, it works. You will never regret it! We simply call this "Sh!7ter Dust". Despite the less than flattering name, we have tried nearly *everything* for deodorizing and breaking down human waste in the Black Tanks and for use in our Grey Tanks (yes, you SHOULD use it for that too!). THIS is the sh!7! NOTHING works as well, nothing even comes close. *Pro-Tip: "RTFM" - use EXACTLY as directed! Scoop it into your throne, fill with a fair amount of water, wash it down with a fair amount of water - voila! The sooner the better, because it does need time to do it's magic work. Same for the Grey Tanks...a bit of Dust, a lot of water (about a half sink full) and happiness occurs! My ONLY complaint - almost knocking off a star - a big bucket like this can go quickly! So always have a spare! For instance, right now we are far from our "Home Base" and are out of the beloved Sh!7ter Dust and are using the meager competition...and it sucks! You never realize just how badly the other products work until you are using them, draining and flushing your tanks, watching "solids" bump and roll their way down the hose and into the dump. There is none of that light brown goodness, just dark, chunky sadness. And there's the smell of pooh. Nothing is as sad for Full-Timers as the lingering smell of pooh when you're spending a week near death valley in 120° temperatures! (True story, yo.) It's just sh!7ty. We will be celebrating this weekend when we hit the home base, hold our Sh!7ter Dust proudly and take it with us into the desert again. We also recommend the EXTREME Holding Tank Cleaner - EXTREME CLEANER by Happy Campers - RV & Marine Extreme Tank & Sensor Cleaner . BUT also be careful! This is SERIOUS stuff! RTFM for the "Sh!7-Be-Gone" and then empty the tanks immediately! It is a cleaner, not a treatment and the smell/fumes will set off your various alarms!! (and make you a bit ill!) But it works really well!
