The only reason I didn't call this review: "Best hat I've ever owned" is because I've a wool felt Stetson with 20+ years of travel to brag on, and THAT is the best hat I own. But in Tanzania, where I've been working, my wool hat was going to be too hot. I've a Stetson breezer I thought about taking, but it's not crushable. After reading the reviews and shopping around I chose the Henschel hat, and I could not be happier. This hat took it all - torrential downpours, baking sun, and heavy winds. Never left my head, and kept me perfectly shaded from some pretty intense sun. The mesh is perfect - wide enough to let the breeze in, yet small enough to provide shade and prevent my bald head from cooking. And the wide brim was welcome, portable shade. If I ever lose this hat, I'll buy another pronto. Fit: as expected Build Quality: Higher than expected Durability: higher than expected It's very well made, feels great on my head, and stays on in the wind. This is the best hat I've ever owned for warm climates.
