I waited a few days before writing this review as I needed to adjust from my old magnifying lighted mirror to this one. My old one had about 3 x mag on one side and about 5x on the other. This mirror has one side with no mag and the other with 7x which is a lot! I have my mirror on my vanity which also has a small light so lighting is perfect for me. Moving the mirror closer on the no mag side works well for general makeup and switching to the 7 x for eyes and brows. I move it quite close for that and everything comes in clearly (way too much reality!). Very nicely made and beautiful color. Nice weight makes it very stable. Cord is clear a nice touch. Height is perfect for me when seated at my vanity. Mirror tips up or down in the frame to adjust for height. If you want "in between" magnification you may not want this for the reasons stated above. I have adapted and am very happy with it!
