This Apple 5 (44mm, black) Watch band is nice, but it is one solid piece, rather than having hinged points where the bands meet the case part. As a consequence, it's more annoying to put on and charge, since the bands always curl around and don't sit flat. This band, along with others like it, makes it difficult to "scroll" the watch crown, because the plastic of it gets in the way. It will scroll, but only a few "clicks" at a time. The "power" button works great, and it's hard to tell a difference in it's function from no band at all. The buckle is made out of metal, otherwise the entire thing is a soft flexible plastic. The case part rises up just a little above the watch face to offer protection from drops, in addition to the outside edges which surround the watch. The watch face snaps in perfectly! That being said, it can be somewhat challenging to get it in, and you might have to work with it a little to get that perfect fit. This is Made in "free" South Korea for a US/California based company. I would recommend this band, but if you can find one like it that is hinged, you might like it better.
