The material is much more thick and durable than any other previous flags I have purchased. Right out of the package I knew this was a well made flag. I have bought made in the USA flags, that cost three times this, and so far, this flag is out performing them by a lot! The grommets are secure, the stitching looks great, and again, it's not paper thin like a shower curtain. This is about the thickness of three shower curtains, whatever that may be! Lol. For this price point, you will not be disappointed! If you are, just return it back to Amazon. My flag has been in service now for 60 days and no complaints! Not even one fray yet. I have it flying in 30 mph winds at times, and it's still going strong. Being that it is thicker, it does want to hold onto the creases longer, so you may want to iron it before hanging it outside. Personal preference. Update: It's been 6 months, and it's now ripped and tattered. However, I haven't owned a flag that hasn't gotten wind whipped and frayed after 6 months, so not sure that it's a defect of workmanship. If I buy one for $50, will it last 12 months maybe instead? Still a nice flag for the money I'd say, for being flown 24/7, 6 months straight.
