Smokin deal, tearing up the streets!!!
I bought this rc for my sons first rc thinking it was a cheap entry level rc it would be ok for him to bash it up and learn on, then as he became more experienced to buy more expensive and better brands.....Well, now I bought this a little over a year ago, when we first opened the box it was sweet, although I could not get it running for him, I had to call redcat and the customer service was excellent and within minutes had the little buggy up and running. However when you first run these you cant take off on them, I had it setting on a brick for the first few tanks to break it in and tune it---YES i read the instructions and checked online for proper break in of a new motor. We then together drove this thing unbearably sloooooow for a tank and pushed it more with the next tank and by the third running tank we were jumping, spinning and having a blast with it. This redcat buggy over a year later is still alive and kickin although the trans was a bit bashed it still goes. we have only spent money on the upgraded starter called a roto start. The pull start totally stinks on any nitro imo. So this little buggy has seen better days the wheels are finally balding, the trans a bit messed up, we bent the front and just bent it back, totally a basher, and we can NOT kill this thing!! we have jumped it flipped it, had the neighbors out to watch us in awe, I would totally recommend redcat to anyone wanting an rc. we have since aquired quite a few rc's including hpi, traxxas, mugen, but this redcat is always our goto and we are getting ready to jump into an s30 made by redcat.
I dont know if this review will help anyone, but we have had a blast with it. just make sure to break in the engine right, and it will treat you right.
