If you anything like me I was skeptical to even try
If you anything like me I was skeptical to even try. But, I hated my white countertops and wasn't ready to spend the money for granite yet. I have attached before and after pictures. I am happy with the results but will still buy granite in a few years. In the meantime I love my countertops so much more. First of all it is a bit harder to apply than the video makes it look. This would be the reason for a 4 rating. If you have a helper it is easier to have the other person hold the film up and pull the backing off as it is laid down while you squeegee the bubbles out. Now the squeegee that comes with the product stinks so buy your own. And, buy one that has a felt side AND use the felt side (costs about $4). The plastic squeegee scrapes the film a bit and shows. if you have a backsplash do it with a separate film sheet. Just don't overlap much or you can see it. Watch the videos on the website too, they help. There will be imperfections so if you are expecting up close perfect look of granite then don't buy. If you have more realistic expectations like I did (looks great from a distance and don't notice the imperfections up close unless you are closely examining) then go for it. I did fold the film under my countertops and stapled it down as well. I think it would peel if this was not done.
