Have worn out 6 or so well-loved Bialettis similar to this one. This is similar and corrects 2 problems I've had with the Bialettis: The handle melting - note this handle is farther from the pot than a Bialetti. My gas stove melted the ones closer to the pot. The black finish prevents any coffee stains from showing. I tried the colored Bialettis but the color still stained.
