If you follow the instructions exactly as written you should have no problems installing this film. Once cut to length, use ample amounts of soapy water in a spray bottle and get a friend or family member to help. Spray the interior of the glass with the soapy water and spray the sticky side of the protective film with liberal amounts of soapy water. You want this thing dripping wet. I started at the top and had a friend spray even more soapy water as I pressed the sticky side against the glass. Once in place, I used the provided exacto knife to trim along the glass edge. Using the provided squeegee, I sprayed the INSIDE of the window film (non sticky side) and started from the top mid and worked down and outward while wiping the excess water off of the squeegee. I worked out all of the air bubbles and then reinstalled the plastic decorative trim back on the glass. The product looks great (see attached pictures). I left the wreath in place as a point of reference. These pictures were taken 30 minutes after installation was finished. Once I was finished (and I didn't think about writing an Amazon review at the time otherwise I would have taken pictures), I put some of this film on extra window panes I had in my workshop. I hit them with a hammer and the glass spidered-cracked outward from the hit. This film acts almost like a protective "tape" holding the glass together. It took a lot to to eventually break through. The glass and film never failed it was the window trim that eventually failed and allowed me push the glass in. This is a great product and I'm going to install it on my other doors soon. It should not be the only line of defense and a solid defense-in-depth strategy will ensure you are safe(er) than before this product is installed. For us, this protective film is supplemented with a locked door, alarm system, and family dog.
