I have used way too many laminators at various jobs, and this one is definitely the best I've used yet. It far exceeded my expectations. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could. It gets the job done with a maximum of quality and a minimum of frustration, which is what you really need from a laminator. It powers on quickly. It performs reliably. It can handle heavy stock paper in the pouch without flinching. It doesn't take up a lot of room. If you're using this in a production environment, such as laminating badges at a conference, it's going to be the thing that you don't have to call the one expert in the room for, the thing that gives you the least headaches, because it's easy to use and it works. Three caveats if this is your first laminator, and this is true of all laminators. First, there will be an odd peice of cardboard in the box. Don't throw it out. You need to run it through the machine 2 or 3 times after every use in order to clean it. Gunking is a big problem with all laminators, and cleaning it this way will enhance the life and performance of your device. Second, get good pouches. GBC and Scotch both make good ones. Even the best laminator will do a crappy job with a poorly manufactured pouch. Third, take the finished item out immediately and let it lay flat to cool. Otherwise it'll cool crooked and look horrible. It doesn't come with any pouches, so be sure to grab some 3 mil or 5 mil.
