I purchased this bag a few months ago to use on a month-long European summer vacation I took this past July. I had been looking for a well-made, "Indiana Jones-like", roomy leather travel bag for some time. I saw this one on Amazon and ordered it immediately based on all the great reviews. Here is my experience: *I used this bag and this bag only during a month long trip around Europe. My husband originally thought I was crazy to only bring one bag with me - no other luggage. But I like to travel light. *The QUALITY of this bag is INSANE!!! I got so many compliments on it and still do. Sturdy leather. And no, it doesn't smell. Well, it smells like leather and so what - it should! It's a handmade, leather bag. *The bag arrived quickly and very well packaged with a detailed note about the care of construction of the bag - also came with a "cloth dust-bag" in which the leather bag was folded inside. *EXTREMELY ROOMY inside. I was able to fit one pair of sneakers, one pair of sandals (I put the shoes in the side zip pouches), 2 toiletry bags, 5 summer dresses, 3 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of leggings, sweatshirt, pjs, slippers, 5 t-shirts, 2 long sleeve shirts, socks, underwear, bras, and even some foam rollers for my hair. WOW - perfect! * NOT TOO HEAVY! It's a sturdy leather bag so it has some weight to it but I'm a 5'4, 120 pound woman and it was more than fine for me...even with all my stuff in it. Hands down best travel bag ever. I use it for weekend trips now and will continue to use it for longer trips. You can't beat this price, quality and customer service.
