I have neck problems because of an injury I suffered in the Army. I have spent a small fortune trying to find a pillow that would help me sleep the night through without awaking at 3 or 4 a.m. in pain. My search is now over. This is the one. I have waited several weeks before posting this review because, as my son once told me, every new pillow I have tried works well at first. So with more than two months gone by with the Roscoe, I am confident its "trial" period is over and it's a keeper for sure. In fact, the first several days with this pillow were not all that great. The shape is very different from every other pillow I have used and it is very firm. You will have to train yourself to sleep on it as there is a relatively narrow comfort zone designed for your neck, head and shoulders. But that narrow zone is very comfortable. Once you have adapted to using this pillow, it will be great, I am sure. Also, as a great collateral effect, not only is my neck pain gone, but my early-morning, lower-back pain went away too. It's all about proper spinal alignment, I guess.
