Let me start off by saying that I NEVER write reviews, but heavily depend upon them before purchasing anything from amazon. This product has been such a life saver, that I had to write my own review as a testament to how well this collar works for us! We have a very vocal miniature schnauzer. He barks incessantly, at EVERYTHING! Our other dog, our babies, cars that drive past our house, the wind...honestly anything that moved prompted the barking. With a newborn who wasn’t sleeping well, I had to find something, anything to calm him down and this was an answered prayer! It’s funny- the collar actually mellows him out. He almost seems calmer with it on, if that makes sense! Sometimes our other dog can set the sensor out if he’s barking near our smaller dog, and I wish it wasn’t so sensitive that other dogs could set the warning beeps off. Our dog only wears the collar during daytime hours, and when I take it off in the evening, if he starts to bark, I’ll pick the collar up and show it to him and that seems to do the trick! I’m probably going to buy one for our larger schnauzer too- just because he gets riled up about squirrels in the back yard! I really like that this isn’t a typical “shock” collar...I was really apprehensive about buying something like this for him because I thought that all bark collars worked in the same manner. Glad we found this alternative, I know we couldn’t be happier around here!
