The dispenser detects a hand or sponge well but fails to detect a pan or other metal or plastic object for some reason. Had the same problem on another dispenser I used that broke before this one. Also had trouble with tuning the length of time the soap is dispensed. Took a lot of trial and error to get it right. Nice concept with the + to increase and - to decrease flow but not well executed. They should a better sensor. I like the easy fill soap container at the top with a rubber gasket and the batteries place in the middle of the back to prevent them being exposed to water or soap and getting damaged like my previous unit.
