Helps me manage PCOS symptoms. Restarted period where there was none. BFP
**EDIT/UPDATE:
Big Fat Positive pregnancy test in January 2017. Lost pregnancy at 8 weeks due to Turner syndrome.
Pregnancy positive again in January 2018. Now 18 weeks. Used soy isoflavones this time to boost ovulation, in combination with inositol.
I have thin PCOS with secondary amenorrhea, I saw many doctors for it. They said I was a "textbook" case and would not conceive without medication. My period was extremely painful and irregular in my teens, right now at 30 it doesn't kickstart unless I take BC. The BC usually give me disturbing side effects (chest pain, bruises not healing), so I am not fond of them. I did my own research and ended up on this page after reading about an inositol study to improve fertility for women with PCOS.
I have been taking inositol powder for 6+ months and my periods have been fairly regular even without BC pills. The flow is medium to light and the pain is bearable. Sometimes taking other medications like antibiotics or forgetting to take this will get the period off track and mess with hormonal balance. Eating too many sweets seems to bring back the period cramps.
This product works well especially if combined with exercise and a healthy diet, and although I cannot always commit to that, it has been a huge game changer for me. I take one teaspoon in the morning and one in the evening (I don't measure). There seem to be no side effects, except some very vivid dreams, which are not a bother (on the contrary, I find it interesting to know what my sleeping self is thinking about every night. I rarely remembered my dreams before taking this).
It helps with mood control and mental state. The world is no longer a gloomy, dark place for me.
I gave it some months of using it before writing the review, because I didn't want to mislead anyone. This is a pretty miserable disease, and we don't need any false hope. This truly has worked for me, for managing PCOS symptoms. I do appreciate it may not work for everyone.
I am now TTC and will update this review if I manage to get a positive (or not). Here's hoping, I will write about my experience. Even if I don't manage to conceive, I will still be taking this for the awesome effects.
PS: I have not been paid to write this review. Someone else ordered this product for me.
