Sheer Bliss! Deserves 10 stars - Super great - Works as described, does the trick
I can say enough good things about these compression massagers. My legs ache frequently, and I have avoided seeking relieve by medication. I opt usually for a soak in the tub. But after a major sugery years ago, the hospital put compression sleeves on my legs. They were wonderful. I had often wondered about getting something like the leg massagers I experienced in the hospital, but felt anything that was a quality product would not be affordable.
However, recently my legs and been aching every day. I have a very sedentary job, and that doesn't help. So I finally decided to look for leg massagers again. There's such a variety on Amazon to choose from, I was a little concerned about choosing the best one. But now I know I have the best.
These leg massagers do everything they promise to do. I love that they have 3 levels of compression, and optional heat.
First the compression levels: This massager will 1) alternate massaging/compressing you feet and calves 2) massage/compress your feet and hold the compression on and then go on to massage/compress your calves to sort of move fluid up and of your leg area, or 3) massage/compress your feet and calves at the same time.
Second the optional heat settings - as if all this massaging/compression wasn't enough there's option heat. I found that the low setting was quite comfy. Warm enough that I can imagine a chilled set of legs would definitely appreciate this heat level. I would describe the low setting and comparable to medium setting on a heating pad. I didn't try the high setting.
What they might lack in appearance, they certainly make up for in function.
When you open the box, if you are like me, you might be expecting a heavy unit that does the air compression work. In fact I thought initially, that something might be missing, because there's an electric adapter, two boots with air hoses attached, and a hand controller. The air hoses put into the controller and its the controller that actually pumps the air to achieve the compression. Its small but wow, its powerful.
At first I just tried the lowest setting. And at first it almost seemed like it wasn't working properly. BUT I WAS WRONG. What it does is sort of pump up gradually with some intelligence, and then sort of gauges the pressure, and if needed it will continue to increase the pressure until it reaches the necessary pressure. It takes maybe 45 seconds to get adjusted to how you have put the sleeves on your legs. After that...get ready for 20 minutes of sheer bliss.
