Ok so this thing is incredible! I have been making ice for DAYS! I'm making ice as I write this review! Do I need this much ice at the moment? No. I'm making it because I can! I have never been this excited about a kitchen appliance. The fact that it recycles the melted ice in order to make more ice is just the cat's pajamas.(I didn't really look at the specs for other brands, so I don't know if they all do this. I just saw this one and said "yes please!") The machine doesn't change the flavor of your ice, so whatever flavor your water has, that's what your ice will taste like... Only colder. And it's so so so easy to use. Basically plug it in, add some water and push start. Even your toddler can do it! (I wouldn't recommend that though.) To the people who gave this a bad rating because it doesn't keep the ice frozen like a freezer does, yall need to add some stars. They clearly say in the description that it does not keep the ice frozen. Don't down-vote this marvelous machine just because you didn't read about what you were buying. Anyway, I love this thing. Buy it. Hopefully it will bring you as much joy as it has brought me. Edit: I just came back here to say, today is our 1 year anniversary and we are going stronger than ever! We may not be making ice every day anymore, but we're still making ice at least 5 times a week ;) It's been a delightful year and I have decided that this ice maker is the one thing I will take with me if I have to escape my apartment ablaze during wildfire season. I am also currently shopping around for joint burial plots so we can be together in the afterlife (when that time comes.)
