Installed on a brand new 2015 Nissan Murano SL AWD
These lights are great however the throw down the road does not seem to be the greatest. These LED's are by far better than the ones I have purchased before such as the Genssi one installed on a Altima but soon had to return because no usable light is shined on the road. Quality seems really good with these. In a lot of reviews not many people talked about how far the light is spread out onto the road. In my install I installed this LED kit onto a brand new 2015 Nissan Murano SL AWD which did not come with the OEM LEDs on the platinum model however I can compare this light kit to my 2014 Nissan Rogue SL which came with the stock LED headlights. Install is simple and straight forward just swap out the bulbs and plug it in and organize your wires under the hood. I have installed many HID kits in the past and I didn't want to install one this time because of all the troubles I have encountered with them either bad ballasts or not firing properly in the cold especially when you live in the northeast. My previous light set up in my 2014 Nissan Altima was a Zener 35W HID Ballast using Morimoto XB35 H11B bulbs the light output is definitely brighter than the stock halogen however it cannot be compared to OEM. After spending an hour driving around at night with the OPT7 LED I noticed that color accuracy is great and there are no dark spots or shadows. However by installing it in a halogen projector the light output does not seem to be the as advertised 7000LM Total 3500 LM Per Bulb. Light projection seemed to be better with the halogen bulbs. With the LEDs you get more light in front of the vehicle maybe 3-4 feet in front of the car and then the light gets less sharp. Cutoff against a wall is great but the light output on the road is not 100% great. Overall the quality seems great but I don't know how long these lights will last compared to an HID kit considering this is fairly new lighting technology that can be purchased as an aftermarket add on. If I do not like these lights I will most likely install them onto the Rogues foglight since it takes H11 and maybe invest in a Morimoto HID Kit or better halogens such as philips Xtreme Vision or Crystal Vision Ultra. My Main reason for purchasing these lights is to match the stock LED DRL and LED accent lights up front and the LED Taillights that came stock in the car. Also I have attached a few photos. In the photo with the two cars the car with the OPT7 LED installed is on the right and the left is the other car with the stock OEM LED headlights.
