When I test and review culinary items, I am highly critical and meticulous in evaluating and rating them. My reviews are honest and unbiased. Good is good…bad is bad! I was quite curious as to how this value-priced Electric Food Slicer would actually perform. I can honestly say that I have been totally impressed. Powerful and well-built with safety features galore and breaks down for cleaning better than some that cost at least twice as much. * 200watt motor drives through meat and veggies like butter. Perfect slices of even soft bread. * Two standard 7.5" Blades are included. One serrated and the other one a smooth non-serrated. * Strong rubber suction feet hold a non-porous counter strongly during use * Food-grade materials used throughout, and as mentioned...super-easy to clean * Safety features prevent children from accidentally activating the slicer * More safety features protect users from serious injury due to a loss of concentration * Thickness adjuster can be set as wide as 3/4" and down to paper-thin. * The Power cord is sufficient for most kitchen use. This slicer is really very good. I would put it up against my Chefs Choice model that is twice the cost. I love using a slicer for making super-thin slices of Roast Beef or Top Round (Sous Vide) for French Dip Au Jus sandwiches. Those super thin cuts of meat melt in your mouth with sauteed onions and provolone cheese which can also be sliced in bulk on this Food Slicer! Use the serrated blade for tougher cuts of meat like venison or heavily muscled meats. Also useful for thick cuts of steak from bulk meat. It also is great for hard bread and will not damage the crust. The smooth-edge blade can be used for thinner cuts, tender meats, and vegetables...almost like an automatic mandoline. This is the perfect, affordable Electric Food Slicer for a busy home kitchen. It is not for professional kitchens, but for the home...it is superb.
