There's been ongoing confusion as to whether this product is indeed vegan or sourced from animal products. So I thought I would take this opportunity to share some information. There are two products online which have similar brand names -- "Garden of Life" and "Source of Life Garden". The former -- Garden of Life -- uses lanolin (an animal product); Source of Life Garden does not. They are 2 different companies. Therein lies the confusion about this product. In January 2010 a friend of mine spent an hour talking with a chemist at Source of Life Garden. The vegan D3 is, in fact, vegan. He went through the entire production process with the guy and he was quite satisfied.
