I just recently purchased this kite and took it out for a test flight. Assembling the kite was fairly straightforward--though getting the rigid support beams in place is an exercise in terror since it feels like you're going to tear something. (Nothing tore.) The dragon does actually fly, and it is easily solo-launchable. It did handle a bit heavily once in the air; getting it past 30 feet of line took some persistence, but you get the hang of it. I've also uploaded some action pictures and video of the assembly to give you any idea of size, and some flight footage (skip to the end of the video if that's what you want to see).
