I wanted bluetooth earphones for my workouts (weights + running). I have small ears, and tried Bose Soundsport Wireless and Jaybird X3 before purchasing the PowerBeats3. Jaybird X3s were plain uncomfortable, so I returned those a day after purchasing them. ## PowerBeats3 vs. Bose Soundsport Wireless: Sound Quality: Bose SoundSport wins (not by a huge margin). I'm into rock and metal music. Battery Life: PowerBeats win hands down (12 hour battery on Powerbeats vs. 6 hour on Bose SoundSport Wireless). PB3s also have the fast charging feature that'll give you 2 hours of playtime with 15 min charge. This is super helpful for a quick charge before heading to the gym. Comfort: PB3s are much more comfortable than Bose SS. The Bose earphones fell out of my ears every 2-3 minutes (yes, i tried the different sizes of the in-ear pieces). Bose SS also have an interesting shape that makes them stick out, and that makes them look a little silly. Microphone quality: Both are good. I was able to take calls from both PB3 and SS, and folks on the other end of the call could hear me just fine. Overall winner: PowerBeats3.
