With such great reviews, I thought this would be a sure-fire hit! My husband was super excited for this (all the cooking falls on him, as I've become sick and can no longer cook) and read all the instructions, washed accordingly and set it up to use the day we received it (which was about 4 days after ordering.) He was also excited about how large this unit was, as it looks like it can easily fit meals for a family of 4-5. It also runs super quietly! It went well, until he got to the part where you unlock the basket during cooking to shake the fries. The basket would not re-lock into place! After several tries, trying to get it to re-lock, the locking pin broke off the basket. He was horribly disappointed! After turning the air blue, he contacted the company directly, instead of just returning the unit. We were shocked that we got a response within 5 minutes (it was about 8:30 p.m. CST) and after getting specifics on the order, they volunteered to ship out replacement baskets (the basket fits inside the unit drawer.) We got tracking info the following day! What an awesome, caring, responsive company!! We have never received such exemplary customer service! I will update after the replacement part(s) are received as to how the unit works on meals, but wow! A US company that actually cares about customer satisfaction! UPDATE: The replacement basket arrived quickly, and there's been absolutely no problems since. The food turns out beautifully, and we are VERY happy with the unit!!
