Even after having seen most of the documentary’s about pandemics, fictional dramas as well; and having read the books on 1918 flu and other plagues, I found this book fascinating. I think Michael Lewis fleshes out his characters like a novel might to make this book an interesting read. It is full of synchronicity and amazing facts related to the understanding of contagious disease and pandemic strategies utilized in the last year. The people nicknamed the Wolverines really are heroes and the entire story is woven like a top notch thriller. I too hesitated in deciding to read this-pandemic fatigue and all. But it puts an OMG factor into this historical time in our lives. I am incredibly grateful for the brilliant minds and courage behind the science and also the randomness involved in great discoveries.
