Other high-iron hints: Never use chlorine bleach. It sets iron. Instead, use oxygen bleach. Use Iron Out powder and the iron treatment salt pellets in the water softener. Use White Out on your whites. Soak to restore old whites. Use vinegar instead of fabric softener in the softener compartment.
