This mic sounds really good and comes with a lot of useful goodies to make your use of it more convenient, as well as keeping your recordings sounding good. You have options to filter possible pop sounds from harsh breaths with either the wind screen and/or pop filter, and the mic itself definitely has some foam around the capsule to further prevent capturing the hard pops. The gain is preset at a decent level, but you still have to be closer to the mic for it to pick up your voice, but the this is so it doesn't pick up other noises around it as much, like your pc fans, the air condition, your keyboard typing, and the neighbors dog barking. It's a great deal for the price.
