We have 4 kids, all 5 and under, plus two dogs that like to sneak into bed at night and the occasional visit from the cat. With this mattress protector, we've got any easy way to protect against those occasional accidents and prevent all that pet fur or kiddo spills from getting into the mattress itself. Pros: It's super easy to put on. Slips on just like a fitted sheet. It keeps most spills out. Really easy to wash. I just toss it in on the gentle cold cycle and then let it air dry. Doesn't crinkle at night like your typical cheap plastic mattress protector... you know, like the ones you got at your baby shower! Cons: It doesn't actually wrap around the whole mattress. It might be resistant to stuff from above, but it'll come at you from below. There's no side protection for the mattress, so a trip and a spill and suddenly you've got apple juice going into the mattress. It provides the most natural sleeping experience we've had on a mattress protector and we've paid more in the past for worse results. Overall we're satisfied with this product. Updated 7/28/15: I'm pleased to say that we're still using the same protector more than a year later. We've had a couple close call spills, like when our 3 year old decided to bring in strawberry milk she made herself at 3am one morning and tripped over the dog, but the mattress cover protected our memory foam mattress with no stains or worse - leftover spoiled milk odor [shudder]. We've also had a couple of your typical young child bedwetting episodes after sneaking into bed and the the mattress cover performed very well. I also sealed up our box springs to avoid "invasions" from below. For the cost and ease of use, this product has performed above expectations.
