Five stars for what it is. Can't run with it.
My hope was this stroller would improve my elderly dog's quality of life. Little did I know it would do the same for me. To a paint a picture of my neighborhood, it's comprised of 90% (at a minimum) busybody widows, catcalling guys allergic to being employed, and of course, the gaggle of stereotypical SAMHs as tan as they are malicious. I chose the obnoxious pink one because I figured, screw it, if I'm going to get stared at for pushing a dog around in a stroller, I may as well give them something to really look at. My dog is a male. The looks of absolutely bewilderment on the faces of people to whom I have relayed this information was in and of itself worth the $46 I paid. Turns out, people are so busy trying to fathom how you could put a male dog in a PINK stroller -- why, it's practically animal abuse -- that the fact there's a dog in a stroller at all suddenly seems arbitrary. It's kind of like when you ask someone for a bigger favor than the one you really need to wear them down. If your dog is male, I highly recommend this strategy as it's inevitable you're going to be approached by someone, at some point. Moving on, I give this stroller five stars for what it is. "THE SMELL": Out of the box, there's a weird odor that I tend to associate with things of Made In China origin. I sprayed it with a mix of water and Dawn, set it outside, and it went away within an hour. It's possibly stronger with other colors. All the more reason to go Team Obnoxious Pink. HEIGHT: I'm 5'5" and I don't have to bend over to hold the bars, but it could stand to be a little taller. If I was any taller myself I would likely send it back, but if you're 5'6" or under, maybe 5'7", you should be fine. THE WHEELS: I saw someone in one of the questions claim they are rubber. They are not. They're a hard plastic. Surprisingly durable, but plastic still. Provided you put them on properly, they are able to go up and down hills and somewhat bumpy sidewalk without issue. You WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RUN WITH THIS STROLLER. The wheels WILL go haywire. Be warned if you're someone like me, who bought this with the express purpose of taking my dog out with me when I go jogging. Annoying as that was, it's smooth as silk for leisurely walks, so I'll still get plenty of use out of it. WEIGHT CAPACITY: 33lbs. It says this on the instruction manual that comes with the stroller. My dog is 17lbs (Pomeranian mix) and it holds steady for him. STROLLER WEIGHT: Not sure, but surprisingly light for something that thus far has proven pretty durable. Even in the box it wasn't heavy. Carrying the stroller up / down my porch steps is cake. DRINK HOLDER: Worth mentioning thing kind of sucks. It falls off, which isn't too big an issue (could be fixed with duct tape or whatever), but the size / shape of it is odd. I tried to put a Tervis cup, 20oz bottle of Dasani, and a wide-bottom Vitamin Water in it and all of them full out. What exactly is this thing made for? I plan to modify mine but gluing some padding in it to make it snugger. Considering how easy that's going to be, I suppose it's still nice that it was included. Overall this was a good buy for the price, and if for some reason this stroller was set ablaze or lost to a sinkhole, I would definitely purchase another.
