I really do not like this thermometer for two reasons. The beep is very hard to hear. But more important, the 15 second reading is not accurate. I had to run it three or more times to get the correct temperature. So actually it is no better than the cheap ones I have. The 15 seconds is why I bought it. I went to return it but the 30 days had expired. UPDATE: I WAS TOTALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR GENERATION GUARD. THEY ACTUALLY READ CUSTOMERS REVIEWS! THEY FELT PERHAPS MY THERMOMETER WAS DEFFECTIVE SO THEY SENT ANOTHER FREE OF CHARGE. I TRIED IT OUT A FEW TIMES AND IT WORKS EXACTLY AS IT IS SUPPOSED TO. THANK YOU FOR GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE GENERATION GUARD. AMAZON HAS GREAT SERVICE TOO.
