I purchased this model to replace an earlier generation pulse oximiter that I had been using for several years. I immediately noticed that this version provides a reading much quicker than in the previous generation Pulse Oximiter. I also noticed that this version has a screw on the battery compartment, giving the unit a much more solid feel and preventing the battery cover from popping off the unit.
