Where was this machine when I became a mom the first time around? I’m shooting myself in the foot for not getting a baby food processor sooner. I used a handheld blender to make my older child’s food back in the day. Well, I’m a second time mom and I’d like to think I’m older and wiser now lol. I now have a rambunctious 3 yr old and a 5 months old who’s very ready to start solids. Ive been struggling with time when juggling 2 little ones by myself. One day, I saw an ad for Grownsy on Facebook and decided to find out more on Amazon. After some careful research and comparison, I noticed that its price is much more reasonable than other well known brands. I’ve been using it for over a week now. And I can honestly say I’m pleased with it. The steam function has saved me so much time. I simply cut up whatever I plan to feed my baby, put it in the machine and press the auto steam button. I step away and do whatever else I have to do. In 15 minutes, I come back to food steamed, blended and ready to serve. No more guarding the stove; I’m able to multitask. The whole process from prep to serve took less than 30 minutes. Not to mention it’s easy to clean. I run it under the faucet and soak it with water so I can come back to it later to clean it. If you presoak like I do, it’ll take less than a minute to lightly scrub 3 parts (lid, blade and cup) with the bottle brush to get it sparkling clean. I have yet to try the sterilize feature so I can’t speak to it yet. The only complaint I have if I’m nitpicking is that when blending bits and pieces kinda splatter out of the small steam holes through the lid. I just put a burp cloth on top to solve the problem so I can overlook that one small inconvenience. I’ve already recommended my friend who’s due in January to add it to her registry!
