Works great in Arizona
I purchased two of these to start out my vegetable garden instead of using the five gallon plastic bucket method everyone back east would set up in their backyards. My main reason for trying the smart pot is heat regulation, gardening can be a challenge in southern Arizona. The fact that the roots will air prune rather than get bound into a ball is just an added bonus. After two weeks my plants have more than doubled in size. Today I am ordering two more.
For anyone who is planning out what they need, the ten gallon bag will take a full bag of garden soil as well as an additional 3/4 bag of compost to fill for planting. I have a single cherry tomato in one planter, and a bell pepper in another, but could have put them both in one.
