A book you will want to share ...
A number of reviewers have done an exemplary job of explaining the storyline and characterizations in The Buried Book and I echo their positive comments. As an avid reader, it is a delight to read a book whose author tells the story well, who creates characters that the reader cares about and who so accurately captures a time and place for the reader to experience...or to remember ... having lived through them as I did in the 1950's. Uncle Leo, Aunt Velma and Wayne provide a safe, while disciplined and loving home for our main character, 9 year old Jasper, as he embarks on his search for his mother. It has been some time (to include famous authors that I read regularly) since I have found a book I didn't want to put down. The Buried Book fills that niche. As an author, D. M. Pulley has upped her game in this her second novel and I look forward to her next.
