I loved this cap while it lasted. It dented easy, but no big deal. The opening was just right, the texture was pleasing to touch and everything held together nicely, no leaks. Then I left it in my bag with a lunch I forgot to eat. Ugh. The smell of bad food while trying to sip water was unbearable. I washed it. I scrubbed it. I salted it and scrubbed it. I let is soak in vinegar for a day. I used a quarter of a bottle of dish soap. I gave it more elbow grease than I had ever given a dish in my life. Each fix got me minutes of fresh water before the nasty food smell would creep back. Ugh. I finally gave up. This is a great cap, but you MUST. KEEP IT. CLEAN. The material it's made out of will absorb any smell. You put juice orange juice in your cup once? Everything tastes like oranges. You put it in your foot locker? Sucking on your toes. Left it in your backpack with a sandwich you forgot about? Moldy bologna will lurk in your water whenever you use it. Keep it clean and all will be well! ----UPDATE 7/19/2014---- WOW! Customer care reached out to me about my review, reminding me about their lifetime (!!!) warranty. I gave them my new address and they sent me a new cap. It took it three days to get to my place in MA from CA! On top of that, I had forgotten to tell them what color my cap was, so they covered their bases and sent me THREE CAPS with different colors! Super pumped. I love this cap. Fantastic customer service from this company as well!
