We have had this carseat for a year, and used it both rear-facing and forward-facing, with the seatbelt and with the latch system. This is the fourth carseat we have owned, and we use carseats almost exclusively while traveling, so we have successfully installed this seat in airplanes, in taxis in three different countries, and in cars in four different countries (in cars, vans, SUVs and trucks). Unlike some of the other carseats we have owned, we have never had trouble getting a good install. I would strongly recommend this carseat to anyone who wants a seat which allows extended rear facing and who wants a lightweight travel seat that is likely to be easy to install in a number of different vehicles. As is to be expected with any larger convertible carseat, this seat is too large to rear-face in planes (if you are in standard economy class anyway) and in those standard size New York City taxis with the barriers (although you can get larger taxis in NYC where this will fit). But we were able to rear face this carseat almost anywhere else. This carseat is also so light that it is super easy to take with you - I have been able to carry it on a plane above the seats, while hauling plenty of other stuff, with no problems. So this is a big plus. I really can't say enough positive things about this seat.
