Let me start by saying that I did debate this purchase for a little while. I have a great scale but it is not bluetooth compatible. Just your average bathroom scale then I log my weight into my Fitbit app. When trying to lose weight I think we all find what ever motivation tools we can to keep us on honest and lets face it, most of use will skip logging that weight if you've gone up a little or "forget to log some calories of a day". It is very easy to lie to ourselves. This is one tool that will keep you honest. Very easy to sync to your phone or tablet via app. Each time you weigh in the info will be stored to the app on your phone and if synced to other apps, to those as well. Even if your phone is not with you at the time of weigh in. You can change for Kg to lbs through the "me" button found at the bottom of the app. This took me a minute to find. This takes an accurate weight after using 3 different scales and all were the same. The instruction book is very informative and something to keep. There are ways to re calibrate the scale should you need to. Though I would do this once a week. My first impression taking it out of the box was it was very small and light weight and being a woman with a size 10 foot, yes female bigfoot here, I was a little hesitant that my feet would fit on this. Not a problem. My son with a size 15 has no issues either. As far as the other measurements that this scale takes i.e bmi, body fat, bmr, fitness age, etc I would keep in mind that I would say that these measurements are based on formulas dependent on you age and height and I don't believe tailored to the individual. I have to say that this scale is something that will keep me motivated throughout my weight loss journey. Having that info logged automatically is holding me accountable and there is no cheating on what is being recorded. I don't want to see that up arrow indicating an increase an that keeps me mindful of a day with eating and my activity levels. The company also has superb customer service. I shortly received a follow up email. They are more than happy to speak with their customers, offering troubleshooting, user questions, issues, compliments and complaint. Great brand and company that takes pride in their product and truly appreciates the customer.
