Very good for diabetes
I ordered this product for my mother who has pancreatic cancer, on the recommendation of a friend, who used this brand of mushrooms when he went through treatment for his cancer (which he beat.) My mother takes it when she can, because she is often nauseous from chemotherapy. I started taking these mushrooms by breaking two pills open and stirring into hot water. I've noticed several very interesting results: first off, I am type 1 diabetic and on insulin and metformin. When I take these mushrooms, my blood sugar does not rise at all when I eat carbs in the evening. I have had bread, cereal and milk, even cookies, and my blood sugar will stay at 104 even (which is crazy.) This even happens when I take an insulin injection after I eat (you are supposed to inject 20 minutes before eating carbs to prevent a high blood sugar.) I think this effect is due to the mitaike mushrooms, which have very similar properties to metformin, as in cutting appetite, keeping blood sugar stable, helping with weight loss and problems with the female reproductive system. Metformin helps prevent cancer cells from metastasizing, and I believe that mitaike can too, now that I see the effects. Also, after taking these mushrooms daily for two weeks, I noticed a few moles on my skin were shrinking. One in particular that I have had on my leg for many years is about half the size that it used to be. Also I had a small wart on the inside of my hand that has shrunken so small that it is almost gone. I am fair skinned and skin cancer runs in my family, if the moles were pre-cancerous then 5 defenders did me a big favor. As soon as my mother feels better she will take the mushrooms consistently. I am making my father and sister take them too, and I will be taking these for as long as I can. Worth every penny, I'm very grateful to have found out about this company. Update: My mother could not ingest much of this mushroom supplement, and she could not beat the pancreatic cancer that ultimately took her life in March 2020. This mushroom supplement is still a superior brand, but it is not to be used as a treatment for a lethal cancer. I had hopes that it would help my mom, but unfortunately, natural remedies can help build the immune system and may help people with more easy cancers, but against very lethal ones like adenocarcinomas and metastatic cancers, they are not much help. Take care of your health and get genetic testing from medical establishments (not consumer ancestry services) and monitor your health, but do not be mistaken that an herb will make cancer go away. I think these mushrooms and their high amounts of melatonin are a good preventative measure.
