I had a Ridgid planer go out after for years and it is still being repaired( over a month and a half). I could not wait any longer to finish my projects so I upgraded to the dewault. It is well worth the investment. This planer is a little quieter then the Ridgid planer. The extra tables are a plus i actually made a outfeed table and then used the brakets to attach it(see picture). The exhuast fan is a plus I use the Vortex dust collector from Rockler and you don't even need the vaccum connected. As far as snipe with my extra out feed table I get none. The cuts are much better then the Ridgid although the Ridgid was not bad at all. I would reccomend this to any one. Definitely get the 735x with the extension tables and they are adjustable too.
