Installed my system about 8 months ago. Bullet proof. No false positives. No missed motion. Two Sensors are about 40ft from the receiver. After 8 months I checked the batteries in one sensor. Voltage drop was about .160 volts. Impressive. Easy to connect any kind of light/sound since it has DC pins that can be hooked up to a relay that can then drive anything you want. UPDATE: Its been nearly 2 years since I installed my 2 motions sensors and the receiver. One of my concerns when I made the initial purchase was having to monitor battery status. Well, I pulled the batteries today and was really impressed! All 8 batteries were between 1.42 and 1.43... amazing after 2 years. Several batteries were leaking at the base but that's typical and not anything to do with the unit itself. I did have a problem servicing the units though. Referencing the attached photo, you can see there are 4 small screws that fasten the unit together. Its a long reach to get down to the small screw heads. Well, insects had filled all 4 holes on both units with whatever they fill holes with. I had a devil of a time cleaning the holes out and removing the screws. Ending up using a very small Philips as a kind of auger to clear the 'x' on the top of the screw head after using the appropriate sized drill bit to initially clear the muck. In an effort not to repeat in the future I found that 3 millimeter nylon screws worked perfectly as plugs.
