I bought this indoor grill 7 months back when it was still summertime. Back then, everyone in our neighborhood was grilling outdoors and the smell was just making my hubby and me hungry and greedy so we purchased this grill to keep expenses down. But now that it's winter it's payback time because we are the only ones that can grill and the whole neighborhood will get greedy by our grilling, as was tipped off by one neighbor! HAR HAR HAR! I am no expert on grills (other than tasting grilled food) so I cannot compare the technicalities but I can tell you that this product grills both meat and vegetables really well. I am attaching one picture of steaks well done and boy oh boy, those tasted GREAT! The cooking instructions provided are really helpful with crystal clear timings written down for various foods. It was a no-brainer setting up and learning to use this grill. I like how convenient it is to use it. It emits some smoke but not a lot at all, I have never had to turn the exhaust on. From start to finish, there is no mess anywhere around the grill which is always a plus for me where less cleaning is involved. My one and only less favorite part is cleaning the grill parts. To me it's a little too much work but many will disagree with me. I like the cooking part but not the cleaning part. I'm the kinda gal where once I'm done cooking, I like to rinse the utensils and shove them in the dishwasher. Clearly you cannot just do that here. I have always had to manually clean the "non-stick" plates for best results partly because they are never really non-stick to me. Then you also have to manually clean the lid and window. On the other hand, the drip tray can be placed in the dishwasher after rinsing. The taste is awesome as I said earlier but clearly it cannot replace the taste of charcoal-grilled meat. Nevertheless this product is wonderful for people who cannot own an outdoor grill in rental homes, who want to work on a budget and I will dare say this indoor grill is a must-have for people who live in cold climates so that you can continue enjoying grilled food even when it's pouring snow outside.
